Morse, Marcus ... lived in Dunkertown, near the pond where his grandson Frank last lived, the house is now rotted down (1941)

Joseph Perley Wight 3/16/1829-3/24/1905 m 5/12/1853 Diantha J (11/8/1833-10/4/1889) dau of Marcus and Caroline Morse, hung himsef in his shop with a trace chain.

David C. Jillson son of David Cargill Jillson and Alice Scribner 12/23/1841-3/11/1915 m 11/1/1861 Sarah dau of Marcus and Caroline Morse. He lived south of Scribner Hill, where Wash. Edwards previously lived. He was a powerful man and cut a large amount of cordwood, at which he excelled the ordinary man.

Morse, Franklin, son of Marcus, b. July 23, 1840, d. June 9, 1892. He married int. Nov. 17, 1866 Eliza Ellen, dau. of Enoch and Mehitable (Swett) Haskell, b. Nov. 12, 1837, d. Apr. 19, 1915. She was the divorced wife of Silas E. Davis, and had two children by him; Ellsworth and Florence. He lived on his fathers old place except for a few years he lived on the flat north of Bell Hill, where Jack Hill now lives (1941). He enl. Aug. 18, 1862 in Co. H. 17th Me. Regt. wounded May 12, 1863. Children;
Frank born Dec. 25, 1875, d. Nov. 24, 1918, m. Etta Edwards, Oct. 8, 1896. He died in the Insane Hospital at Augusta. Had children, Charles, Leland, Dawson, Mattie, and Stella.
