Comments: Family located: Otisfield ME (about 12 years); Upton ME Stevens E. Morse enlisted in Civil War in Co. C, 11th Me. Vol. Regt. Inf., being enrolled July 17, 1863; and was discharged at Augusta, Me., Sept. 18, 1865. Bennett Morse enlisted in battery E, 1st. Me. Regt., Light Vol. Artillery, enrolled Sept. 25, 1861; was discharged Jan. 4, 1864, when he re-enlisted as a veteran volunteer. Ira Morse 6/19/1802-11/9/1870 m 11/19/1829. .. bought of Dominicus Jordan 6/13/1835 for $400 90 acres in the SE part of lot 168. Children: Alpheus C 6/17/1831-5/2/1903 m Hannah Kimball, lived in Oxford, next to Cyrus Wardwell place, had children, Pearl, who m ___ Kimball, and Alpheus who is in the Insane Hospital at Augusta.
