American Civil War Research and Genealogy Database (cwd)
You must pay a subscription to access all their data, but there is some information available for free. Click on the DEMO icon, then scroll down and choose either the Personnel Directory or Officer Directory link.
Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System (cwss)
This is a database that is part of the National Park System website.
