Joseph Grinfill Gerrish m. Mrs. Mary Adeline (Merrill)
McNeil in Lawrence, Mass. She died Apr. 10, 1896. He lived south of
Goulds Corner on the east side of the road where Joseph Green
previously lived. Bought 12/1/1866 for $2,000 lot 80. In his younger
days he was a watchman in a factory in Lawrence and saved his money and
came back to Otisfield and bought the farm where he lived and died. He
was a man of his word and did as he agreed. He remodeled his house and
added a second story to it. He used to have a cider mill and ground
