Willard C. Foster enlisted, Mar, 1865 in Co. D, 15th. Me. Regt., Inf., Civil War. He died while in service.

Robert B. Welch enlisted Oct. 21, 1861 in Co. D, 15th Me. Regt., Inf., Civil War. He attained rank of Sergeant; was discharged at Decrouse Point, Texas, Jan. 24, 1864, by reason of re-enlistment as veteran in the same Co., Jan. 25, 1864. After the war closed, he was detailed as U. S. Military Police and served as such for fifteen months. He received his final discharge July 5, 1866.

Robert Barton Welch was the brother of Mary Welch and Joseph Welch
