Oliver Edwards was first in the employ of his brother, Hugh, Manufacturer of Safes and locks; later he became a partner in the firm, Edwards & Kershaw, Safe Manufacturers of Boston. he was the first President of Atlantic Iron Works of East boston. He was a member of Handell and Hayden Musical Club, also member of IOOF.
